This list was kept by Jay until his last dance with us in Nov 1974. The list is pretty much as he wrote it. However it's apparent that he occasionally got behind and then tried to catch up from memory. There's some indication that he might have missed a few dances between March and June of 1974. His comments are sometimes interesting and sometimes puzzling. For example, what does "M.O.D" stand for?
It's true that we were occasionally paid very small sums...though one should keep in mind that money was worth more in those days. The $9.00 we were paid at the Grand Camel was actually worth at least $11.00 or $12.00 in today's money, so we really made over $2.00 a piece that night ... 50 cents an hour (if you don't count time spent hauling equipment and travel). What was Jay complaining about?
